About this series

The UMX Pro series is a compact industrial ultrasonic cleaner in 50, 62, 88, 162 and 255 litres, with the digital end of the range's controls: single or dual frequency at 28 and 40 kHz, ultrasonic power adjustable from 0 to 100 %, five programmable cycles and a 4.3-inch colour display. Degas and sweep are both standard.

Heating is adjustable from 20 to 100 °C and the timer runs to 200 minutes or continuously. A filtration module with laminar flow, oil skimmer and oil separator can be added, together with a buffer tank; with the module fitted the machine is deeper, which is why both external dimensions are listed.

What the UMX Pro offers

A compact industrial cleaner with digital control: a 4.3-inch colour display, five programmes, degas and sweep as standard, in five sizes from 50 to 255 litres. Filtration can be added as a module.

Select a function for the details.

4.3-inch colour display

A 4.3-inch colour display with setting and navigation buttons; ultrasound, time, temperature, power and pump are all controlled digitally.

Every setting is entered and shown on one panel: time from 0 to 200 minutes or continuous, temperature, ultrasonic power and the bath functions. Digital control keeps the values exact from one cycle to the next.

Clear menus shorten training: a new operator finds the right cycle without learning knobs and scales.

Five programmes

Store five cleaning cycles and call up the right one for each kind of part: the same process every time, whoever runs it.

A programme holds the settings for one job. Set it up once for a part family, then select it instead of entering the values again.

That standardises cleaning across operators and shifts, and makes a proven process easy to repeat.

28 and 40 kHz, single or dual

One frequency, 28 or 40 kHz, or both in one tank as an option: intensive and gentle cleaning in one machine.

28 kHz makes larger, more energetic cavitation bubbles for robust parts and heavy soil; 40 kHz makes smaller, more numerous bubbles that clean fine and delicate parts more gently.

With the dual-frequency option the frequency is chosen per job, so one tank handles heavily soiled housings and fine mechanical parts. The transducers are rated 60 W each: 14 on the UMX Pro 50L, 52 on the UMX Pro 255L.

Ultrasonic power 0–100 %

Ultrasonic power is set digitally from 0 to 100 %: low for fragile parts, high for robust metal parts.

Lower settings suit fragile items and thin wires; higher settings suit metal parts with heavy soil. On a new kind of part, start low and raise the power only if the result is not clean.

Installed ultrasound runs from 840 W on the UMX Pro 50L to 3120 W on the UMX Pro 255L, about 12 to 17 W per litre of bath.

Degas and sweep

Both standard: degas drives the dissolved air out of a fresh bath, and sweep keeps the sound field moving.

Fresh water and freshly mixed chemistry hold dissolved air, which cushions the cavitation. Run degas for 3 to 10 minutes after every fill or change of solution, before the first load.

Sweep varies the frequency slightly so standing waves cannot form: no dead spots, and even cleaning across the basket. Keep it on unless a process needs a fixed frequency.

Heating 20–100 °C

Heating of 2 to 6 kW, set from 20 to 100 °C on the panel.

Most cleaners work best warm: oils and greases soften from about 40 to 60 °C, and the chemistry acts faster. Match the temperature to the cleaner's data sheet and keep it lower for soft or glued parts.

Heating power: 2 kW on the UMX Pro 50L, 3 kW on the 62L and 88L, 6 kW on the 162L and 255L. A full UMX Pro 88L needs well over an hour to go from 20 to 60 °C, so start the heating early.

Filtration module (option)

An optional module adds a filtration pump with laminar flow, an oil skimmer and an oil separator; a buffer tank can be added too.

The pump draws the bath through a filter and returns it as a laminar flow across the surface, which carries floating oil and dirt away; the skimmer and the separator take the oil out. The bath stays usable longer, and parts come out through a clean surface.

With the module fitted the machine gets deeper: the UMX Pro 50L from 470 to 670 mm, the 62L and 88L from 580 to 750 mm, the 162L from 770 to 1000 mm and the 255L from 900 to 1040 mm.

Five sizes, one compact unit

50, 62, 88, 162 and 255 litres in a compact unit on lockable castors, with a 2 mm AISI 304 stainless steel tank.

The tanks are deep for their volume: the useful space is 400 mm deep on the UMX Pro 50L and 88L and 420 mm on the 255L, so tall parts can stand upright. Size the tank from the largest part and the basket, not from the litre figure.

An insulated, diamond-shaped lid lets condensate drip off, and levelling feet set the unit level. Thermal and acoustic insulation is available as an option; the UMX Pro is built for 24-hour operation.

Custom machines

Not in the standard range? We build it.

Every industrial machine is made to order, so the tank size, material, heating, filtration, lid, lift and controls follow your parts and your process. If the machine you need is not on this page, describe the parts and the soil and we design it around them.
