About this series

The DT series dries what the cleaner has just washed. A heating turbine moves hot air through the load, so water is off the part before it can flash-rust or carry spots into assembly. The DT-96 and DT-206 match the ST-96 and ST-206, so their basket comes out of the cleaner and goes straight into the dryer without being repacked; the DT-300 takes baskets up to 820 × 520 mm.

DT hot-air drying tanks

How the DT dries

A hot-air drying tank for the end of the wash and rinse: a heating turbine drives warm air through the basket, so parts leave dry, without water spots or flash rust. Three sizes, 96, 206 and 300 litres, matched to the ST wash tanks.

Heating turbine, forced hot air

A heating turbine drives a high volume of hot air through the chamber for fast, even drying of the whole basket.

The blower moves heated air through the insulated chamber with an even circulation, so complex and multi-layered parts dry as well as simple ones. It is built for low-noise running.

Hot air dries without touching the parts: no cloths and no risk of mechanical damage to delicate components. HEPA-filtered inlet air is available as an option.

Air up to 100 °C

The air temperature is adjustable up to 100 °C, so heat-sensitive metals and coatings can be dried at a lower setting.

On the DT-96 and DT-206 the air is set between 30 and 100 °C, with heaters of 3 kW and 6 kW. On the DT-300 the air goes up to 100 °C; heater rating on request.

Choose a lower setting for heat-sensitive metals and coatings, and a higher one where the parts tolerate it and the cycle should be short.

Digital timer and thermostat

A digital timer and a digital thermostat in the control cabinet set the drying time and the air temperature.

Set the time to the heat capacity of the load: a heavy batch of metal parts needs longer to warm up and dry than a light one. The timer ends the cycle on its own, and the same settings give the same result batch after batch.

Matched to the ST-96 and ST-206

The DT-96 and DT-206 match the ST-96 and ST-206, so their basket goes from the washer into the dryer without being repacked. The DT-300 takes baskets up to 820 × 520 mm.

The inside dimensions are 600 × 400 × 400 mm on the DT-96, 750 × 550 × 500 mm on the DT-206 and 900 × 600 × 560 mm on the DT-300.

In a wash, rinse and dry sequence the DT stands at the end: the water comes off before it can leave spots or start flash rust, and the parts go to assembly, inspection or packaging straight away.

Diamond-profile lid

The hinged, integrated lid has a diamond-shaped profile: condensate runs off instead of dripping back onto the parts.

Moist air from the wet parts condenses on the underside of the lid. On a flat lid it would drip back onto the dried parts; the diamond profile lets it run off.

The lid is hinged to the tank, so it stays with the machine and keeps the heat in the chamber during the cycle.

Reinforced stainless basket

A reinforced stainless steel basket carries 100 kg on the DT-96 and DT-206 and 125 kg on the DT-300.

The basket measures 580 × 380 × 200 mm on the DT-96 and 730 × 530 × 260 mm on the DT-206.

The volume lets heavier parts or several items dry in one cycle; multi-tier shelving is available as an option to spread the load over several levels.

Insulated stainless chamber

An insulated chamber in 2 mm AISI304 stainless steel, on lockable castor wheels.

The insulation keeps the heat in the chamber, where the parts are. Stainless steel stands up to warm, humid air and suits clean working areas.

Lockable castor wheels let the dryer be moved into place beside the wash and rinse tanks and fixed there. All three sizes run on a 400 V supply.

No hand drying, no water spots

Parts come out dry and ready for the next step: no hand drying, no water spots, no flash rust.

Water left on a cleaned part dries into spots and, on steel, starts corrosion and oxidation. Drying straight after the rinse removes the moisture from every surface.

Hand drying ties up staff; the dryer frees them for other work. Typical uses: machined and precision parts, PCBs and electronic housings, medical and laboratory tools and trays after washing, watch and jewellery parts, brake components and valves.
